  I called to see if a repair of a broken glass top on a GE range would be worth the expense. I was told it would be between $300 (for the part) and $400 (parts and labor). The gentleman and I determined it was better to apply the money toward a new appliance. He was very nice and explained the reasons for our decision. I thanked him for his time and advice, he was very helpful and polite. I appreciate honest advice at the expense of losing business...unlike a different appliance repair shop I had called that insisted on setting an appointment even though I told them the glass top was broken.
